Description

A resolution by the Farmville District Parent Teachers Association which commended Governor Thomas B. Stanley and Virginia legislature on their leadership and supporting measures adopted by the General Assembly in its special session of 1956. Declaring that the “characters and spiritual lives of our children should remain under the control of Virginia parents,” the resolution opposed any "legislation designed directly, or indirectly, to repose control of our educational system in the Federal Government.”
